Social Working Spaces

The traditional retail office space is changing

As part of this quarter’s “Get to Know Your Customer Day” on the 18th October 2018, we have been looking at recent trends for the usage of glass wipe boards and noticed a pattern in online retailers designing high end, beautifully planned and executed office spaces, which, at the same time function as social working spaces for their employees.

Nowadays, office spaces are so much more than just a space where you spend your 9 – 5 working hours behind a desk, before going home.

More and more companies recognise the need for supporting their workforce with a work environment that allows them to grow in order to achieve individual career goals but also the company’s own goals and ambitions. Therefore, a variety of different meeting areas are required these days, from a formal meeting room, providing the ideal environment for confidential meetings to informal meeting spaces for spontaneous brainstorming sessions.

The Glass Wipe Board Company has been fortunate enough to work with companies such as Boden, Asos, Farfetch, Net-A-Porter, Victoria's Secrets, Louis Vuitton, Vestiaire Collective, Burberry, Swarovski and Topshop, providing them with glass dry wipe boards of all sizes and colours

Looking at global online retail companies and their aim in particular, it is obvious that they want to create brand identity and representation across international offices by unifying their presence and bring a digital brand to life, in real life. With a bespoke Glass Wipe Board, you can create your individual style but deliver it to a global audience.

Gone are the days of the grubby old whiteboard and companies are often using our glass wipeboards to help offer a more creative space. We noticed a clear favourite being our magnetic wall mounted glass boards, as well as glass dry wipe boards from our freestanding glass wipe board range. This confirms the observation we made, offering social spaces, which at the same time need to function as a space to develop ideas - our magnetic glass is ideal to pin trend ideas to the board easily and use brainstorming session effectively. Our Freestyle Up, the most popular freestanding glass board, on the other hand is ideal for social working spaces with limited wall space, but due to its movability, it can also be taken, wherever it is needed within the office.

If you are thinking of refurbishing your office space or if you are looking for creative glass writing board ideas, get in touch, and we will take you through our bespoke, sustainable product options.
