Overview of 2017

Charity:

Starting with our charity work which started off with our Golf Day in June supporting Prostate Cancer. It was held at the Sene in Hythe where 20 teams of 4 got involved in a Texas Scramble. There were many prizes up for grabs in the raffle and a lovely bbq to finish off the day. Overall, we raised £4000 which we were delighted with.

Our CEO Aaron Dewhurst rode from London to Amsterdam over a 3 day period for 'The Urology Foundation' raising £800 following this he also took part in the Prudential RideLondon- surrey 100 supporting 'Prostate Cancer UK'.

Cycling:

As you may or may not be aware we sponsor a cycling team and for 2017 focused on the women's cycling team, they took part in the 2017 'Orro Tour of Sussex' and thanks to Emma Lewis we won every stage and the overall yellow Jersey. www.bowlphishracing.co.uk

Apprentice Scheme:

We'd like to share our two new apprentices to The Glass Wipeboard Company that joined us last year. Our Business Admin Apprentice Skye and our Marketing Apprentice Ella. We are currently still looking for a Production Line Apprentice, Glass Processing Apprentice and a Sales Apprentice.

TEDx:

We were a proud top sponsor of the first ever TEDx Folkestone, delivered by local volunteers to bring big ideas to life and spark conversation, connection and togetherness.

We were lucky enough to be able to attend and really enjoyed this well organised first event thanks to Liu Batchelor and we are looking forward to being involved in 2018. You can find out more information here.

Expansion:

We are currently expanding our operation and have taken over 8,000 sqft of office and factory space. We now have a dedicated company 'Bowlphish Glass Services' processing our own glass and producing its own high end glass products, which allows us to bring our quality control in house and guarantees the level of service we are able to offer. Sam Dewhurst has moved from 'Operations Manager' at The Glass Wipe Board Company to Director of 'BowlPhish Glass Services' , Ben Lusher has joined us as 'Glass Processing Manager' and he will have a very hands on roll in the glass production process.

Products:

Finally, we've had a successful year with our Freestyle Up which is now one of our biggest selling product along with our hidden fixings range.

We hope you too had a great 2017 and we wish all our customers a good year ahead.
