Elekta - A Case Study

Posted 4 years ago by The Glass Wipe Board Company Team

The Glass Wipe Board Company recently had the pleasure of working with Elekta, a company with an incredible vision which we want to share with others, as well as tell you the story behind why this amazing company chose us!

Who are Elekta?

Elekta is a medical device company that manufactures radiotherapy solutions for treating cancer and brain disorders. Their vision is to ensure that everyone with cancer has access to – and benefits from – more precise, personalised radiotherapy treatment. Founded in Sweden in 1972, Elekta has now expanded all over the world, but their corporate headquarters remains in Stockholm.

Cornerstone, their new state-of-the-art campus in Crawley, serves as an international hub for radiotherapy excellence for the company, and is home to teams of engineers, scientists, clinicians and customer-facing professionals.

Why The Glass Wipe Board Company?

Elekta reached out to us in July 2019 – not long after they had finished building their new Cornerstone facility. Shortly after moving in, they discovered staff were writing notes on glass partitioning walls, as well as using the newly-decorated walls as pin-boards, sticking Post-it® Notes all over them. This was, of course, not in-keeping with the look of the office space they have created. After an initial consultation, in which Elekta told us about their requirements, we knew our wall-mounted and freestanding BowlPhish Glass Wipe Boards would be a perfect addition to the modern, yet functional design of their new campus.

The range and colour selection process

Originally, Elekta was looking at neutral colours for the Glass Wipe Boards, but after discovering our available standard and bespoke colour options, the decision was made to go with the following: Sub Lime, Mossy Bank, Caribbean Turquoise, Forest Mist and Gold Finger (see images used in blog post for reference). In addition to the WallMounted Bowlphish Glass Wipe Boards, and due to the lack of available wall-space in their meeting rooms, Elekta also added our Freestanding Glass Wipe Boards to their order, offering the flexibility to move the glass wipe board within the office space, as well as giving the additional benefit of dividing rooms if extra space is needed!

It was a pleasure working with Elekta from start to finish, from discussing colour options to confirming sizes. It was a fantastic project to be a part of and we are looking forward to future partnerships with them. Trip to Stockholm next?
