Meet our Production Line Apprentice Persil

Persil started his apprenticeship with The Glass Wipe Board Company as a Production Line Apprentice in March this year. He previously attended college, but as he isn’t a fan of exams and written assessments, he applied for an apprenticeship, in which he is being assessed practically.

When we asked Persil, what interested him in this apprenticeship in particular, his response was: “What is not to like about a Product Line Apprenticeship that is close to home, which is also a specialist trade and a job that I’m interested in. It has been a no brainer!”

Persil turned out to be a great choice for The Glass Wipe Board Company as he is a quick learner, is careful with what he does, and he certainly is a perfectionist. This is ideal for the production line, as he will be making sure our customers receiving their products in an A* condition.

During his 12 months with The Glass Wipe Board Company he will learn to contribute to key business activities and projects within our busy workshop. By working as part of a team, he will be able to enhance his skills, but also have the support to gain new ones.

Within his first weeks, Persil realised how much he enjoys working in a team, where everyone is friendly and he is also happy that he always has something to do, as he enjoys keeping himself busy. The only negative of being an apprentice is having to get up early in the morning and that is got chilly in the workshop during the recent cold spell.

In the future, Persil would like to go into the management side of things, once he successfully completed his production line apprenticeship, and his current apprenticeship is a step towards achieving this goal.

Welcome to The Glass Wipe Board Company Persil!
