London Fashion Week challenges businesses to GO GREEN
With this year’s London Fashion Week in full swing, the organisers have put more emphasis on their Switch TO GREEN Campaign involving many brands and businesses.
The Glass Wipe Board Company supports London Fashion Week as many of our customers are retail businesses and are involved in this major event of the fashion industry. As a company we are a big fan of fashion and we always want to be up to date with latest trends, so we can apply them to our product range.
The Switch TO GREEN campaign encourages brands to commit to switching UK offices and retail stores to green energy supplier or to green energy tariffs within the next 3 years. Transitioning energy usage into a renewable source can play an integral part in reaching business sustainability goals and tackling climate change, directly improving the health and wellbeing of our population and planet.
The Switch TO GREEN Campaign which was founded by Dame Vivienne Westwood and the Mayor of London have joined forces in the campaign to bring the fashion industry together to lead in ambitious climate action, for a safer and greener future.
Dame Vivienne Westwood and The Mayor of London are reaching out to fashion brands and businesses to switch to green energy suppliers by 2020. The campaign intends to be a catalyst for global change through collaborations with brands who have already committed such as Selfridges, Stella McCartney, Marks and Spencer, Harvey Nichols and many more.
